Purdue fans and the team received some tough news this week as it came out that Purdue HC Jeff Brohm was officially, and eventually confirmed, diagnosed with COVID-19 and therefore will be unable to be on the field with the team for the opener vs. Iowa.
It was confirmed during the Monday press conference where AD Mike Bobinski ensured everyone that the health and safety of all staff and players was the priority above all else. But as of now, the Purdue football team will be without Jeff Brohm as he is forced to be away from the facilities for a minimum of 10 days.
There will not be a shortage of a Brohm leading the way though as it was confirmed that Brian Brohm, Jeff’s younger brother, will be assuming the Head Coaching responsibilities in Jeff’s absence.
Purdue kicks off against Iowa at 3:30 eastern this Saturday.
As Always, Boiler Up, Hammer Down, Hail Purdue!
